  • About ACED

    Dear Visitor -

Welcome to our website. May we introduce ourselves? The Association Cooperation for Economic Development (ACED) is a non-governmental organization (NGO) in Cambodia. ACED works locally in Bavel District, Battambang Province, situated in the western part of the country, about 70 km from the Thai border.

Ever since its foundation in 1996, the focus of ACED’s work has been on the poorest of the poor, especially women and children.

ACED aims to see all Cambodians living in a peaceful and healthy, social and natural environment. We are striving for a society of solidarity, justice and a good quality of life for all citizens.

We believe the poor have the power to create change. But they need our help to help themselves. Therefore ACED provides funding and non-funding support such as credit schemes, emergency relief, education, advocacy, training, advising or discussion forums.

ACED has received official recognition by the local authorities and the Ministry of the Interior. We have received continual support from national and international agencies such as Star Kampuchea, CIDSE, Development and Partnership Action, CWS Battambang, and World Bank. Some generous individuals have shown their solidarity too.

Together we have achieved progress in a number of areas and have been able to help improve the living conditions of many people. There is, however, still a long way to go, and ACED welcomes any further support and cooperation.

    Thank you for your interest.

Best regards from Bavel in Cambodia -
